Abstract: |
An evaluation was undertaken to investigate anomalies recognised by an earlier geophysical survey. Most of the anomalies turned out to be of natural origin, or of modern date. A palaeochannel, possibly an earlier tributary of the River Yeo, was excavated; and in another trench a linear feature produced possible Early Bronze Age pottery. The feature was first interpreted as a modern drainage ditch, but was possibly a prehistoric ditch. [Au(abr)] |
