Abstract: |
The evaluation revealed extensive deposits of made ground backfilling a deep waterlogged feature possibly representing a medieval leat or fishpond contemporary with the moated site to the south. Made ground also sealed a buried topsoil possibly representing an 18th century lawn. The buried topsoil sealed a ditch and small pit or post hole of similar date. [Au(abr)] |
