Abstract: |
A geophysical survey was completed after an initial survey and subsequent excavation in an area of the proposed development site. Earlier results revealed a probable Neolithic enclosure. This work led on to attempt to find an area that was 'neutral' for building purposes. The two new areas surveyed were clearly extremely complex in nature, with ditch systems and an enclosure complex. Internal features of this enclosure system indicated a regular arrangement of pits or post holes and this configuration could have suggested a rectilinear building. Substantial additional site investigation was recommended before any building work. [Au(adp)] |
