Abstract:
A watching brief was carried out during groundworks in connection with the replacement of a sewer. Two Grade II Listed Buildings, a post-medieval mill and a shrunken medieval village lay in the vicinity. During the watching brief, no archaeological features were observed, although fragments of Roman pottery, brick and roof tile were recovered. Post-medieval pottery was also noted. [AIP]
