Abstract: |
The existing building at 192 High Street probably represented a pair of city merchants' houses which were united into a single property and subsequently rebuilt in the late 18th/early 19th and early 20th centuries. No fabric of 16th or 17th century date was identified in the existing structures, although fabric relating to these and earlier periods may well have survived in the lower parts of the walls.
