Abstract: |
An evaluation was undertaken consisting of a visual foreshore survey across the Thames foreshore on the site and an inspection of the river wall, and an examination of the bulk samples recovered from four boreholes drilled into the foreshore. The survey did not reveal remains of archaeological significance. The river wall was of modern concrete construction along part of its length in front of the Arsenal, and faced with ashlar blocks of 19th or 20th century date along the rest. [Au(abr)] |
