Abstract: |
A programme of archaeological monitoring was carried out during the construction of a new sewer line. The area had been heavily disturbed in the recent past. Post-medieval debris such as brick rubble, pottery sherds, glass and ash were found in large quantity throughout the area. No evidence of archaeological features associated with the wagonway were exposed. A small number of unstratified flints and two post-medieval gaming balls were recovered. No further archaeological investigation was required. [Au(adp)] |
