Abstract: |
The evaluation identified a high level of worked flint and flint working debris in the ploughsoil as well as several features cut into the underlying natural. The field walking identified a concentration of Late Mesolithic and Early Neolithic worked flint in the northern part of the proposed development area. Within this northern area, there were three cluster sites which represented distinct workshop areas. Cluster 3 was situated in an area that the evaluation demonstrated had evidence for Late Mesolithic and Early Neolithic flint extraction. [Au(adp)] |
