Abstract: |
A watching brief was maintained during the cutting of foundation trenches. Naturally formed channels were found cutting geological deposits. These features were of Pleistocene or earlier origin. No human activity, other than possible agricultural utilisation, occurred on the site until the 19th century, when the quarrying of building material took place. [Au(adp)] |
