Abstract: |
The watching brief uncovered a number of features which seemed likely to have been associated with building work at the house during 18th and 19th centuries. The small numbers of finds include medieval and post-medieval pottery, but none of the material was securely stratified. A backfilled well was partly excavated and produced a small assemblage of 17th to 18th century pottery and a clay tobacco pipe of a type that was in use between AD 1660 and AD 1680. [Au(abr)] |
