Abstract: |
Monitoring of the foundation systems revealed a simple sequence of stratigraphy consisting of tarmac and hardcore which overlaid a layer of dark grey-brown silt clay, which in turn overlaid the natural. No archaeological features were identified. Brick and tile dated from the 19th century was recovered from the layer of hardcore along with a sherd of post-medieval glazed red earthenware. [Au(abr)] |
