Abstract: |
There was little evidence of any physical features or artefacts pre-dating the existing building on the site. The only anomalous element was disturbed ground, which was revealed during the excavation of the soakaway. The feature proved to be 2.1 metres deep and may have been a shallow pit for the extraction of clay for brick making or even daub. [Au(adp)] |
