Abstract: |
Excavations of the site revealed an extensive amount of evidence of Romano-British activity on the site. Up to four phases of settlement were identified, as well as a later stage of early medieval activity. The Romano-British remains were interpreted as being consistant with the presence of a villa on the site. Further investigation was recommended to assess the full extent of the remains on the site.
