Abstract: |
Observations made during the watching brief indicated that there were considerable areas of sub-surface disturbance, relating to the development of the area during the 19th century. The areas were concentrated in the zones immediately to the north and south of Foundry Street, and reflected intense development at the locations, and the requirement to create subterranean storage/work space for the industrial activity which took place there.
