Abstract: |
An archaeological assessment was carried out on a proposed visitors centre site. The assessment identified the potential for Iron Age, Roman, early medieval and medieval material, due to the site's location close to settlement activity. Also identified was the potential for evidence relating to the pre-16th century priory and monastic estate. There was a high potential for structural remains relating to the 17th century stable and barn yards and other post-medieval structures. [Au(abr)] |
