Abstract: |
An old footpath was replaced with a new one with steps. The site did show some signs of the medieval occupation of Whitby indicated by finds of re-used masonry from the Abbey, and pottery. There was no sign of any Anglian material and no evidence of any substantial deposit of rubbish or soil associated with that site.[AIP] |
