Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment of a proposed development site was undertaken. No archaeological remains had previously been recorded at the site, although sites and findspots ranging in date from the Palaeolithic to the Roman period were known in the surrounding area. These included Bronze Age barrows, an Iron Age field system, two Iron Age banjo enclosres, a Roman linear feature and several finds of prehistoric flint tools. It was concluded that the site had a high archaeological potential. An evaluation was recommended. [AIP] |
