Abstract: |
<summary>Due to the proposed sewer pipeline between Phear Park and Maer Lane sewage works, an assessment was undertaken to identify the archaeological potential of the route. Three sites of significance were identified: possible prehistoric earthworks at Slagbury, medieval/post- medieval mills and mill leats, and Melhuish, site of a homestead and possible ancient crucifix. A watching brief was recommended, with possible limited hand-excavation if necessary. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
