Abstract: |
Intensive fieldwalking and geophysical survey were carried out as part of the archaeological investigation associated with the West Hull Reinforcement Pipeline. The field walking survey was a preliminary survey covering a 40% sample of the pipeline route. The geophysical survey involved a 25% sample of the route comprising a survey of areas where archaeological deposits had been identified from the presence of cropmarks, known archaeological sites and the results of the fieldwalking survey. The results of both survey techniques highlighted a number of areas where further archaeological investigation should take place. [Au(abr)] |
