Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken in advance of a proposed mixed development of the site. The aim of the work was to locate the medieval town ditch and/or the Roman military road associated with the Hadrian's Wall corridor. The evaluation revealed the presence of post-medieval deposits overlying a series of undated deposits, which lay upon natural clay. [Au(adp)] |
