Abstract: |
The bulk of the site was stripped in the 1990s, related to the cement works, and as a result was found to be archaeologically sterile. However, in the western part of the site, in situ topsoil was believed to survive, sealing possible late prehistoric or Roman enclosures, previously identified on aerial photographs. It was believed that crop mark enclosures were extant beyond the limit of the evaluation trenches as well. [Au(adp)] |
