Abstract:
A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of trenches for the installation of drains, at a farm which lay near both the parish church and the site of the Abbey of Muchelney. The farm buildings included the late medieval almonry, which had been converted to agricultural use following the Dissolution. During the watching brief, no arcaeological deposits were observed, although a single fragment of human bone and pieces of ceramic field drain were recovered. [Au(adp)]
