Abstract: |
The assessment site lay in an area with a general potential for evidence of water management and industry in the Roman period and for evidence of land reclamation, industry and settlement in the medieval and post-medieval periods. The report concluded that the basements of the standing building were likely to have removed archaeological deposits in the area of the proposed development. It was probable that only deeply cut features survived beneath the site, of Roman to post-medieval date. [Au(abr)] |
