Abstract: |
An excavation was carried out at a site where a previous evaluation had discovered substantial amounts of timber. It appeared possible that the timbers were part of a man-made structure. Two channels were observed which seemed to form the eastern and western boundaries of the structure. Possible wooden spade marks were observed in one. A large number of flints and two spreads of charcoal were recorded. A Neolithic or Bronze Age date was anticipated from radiocarbon dating of the structure and its associated peat.[AIP] |
