Abstract: |
A desk-top assessment of a proposed development site was undertaken. Prehistoric flints had been found in the surrounding area, whilst early medieval pits, buildings and artefacts had been excavated. The site lay close to Lincoln's Inn, a medieval centre for legal training, and may have been crossed by a medieval ditch, the Common Sewer. The area had been developed by the mid-17th century. It was concluded that an evaluation should be carried out. [AIP] |
