Abstract:		 <summary>The survey, commissioned by the Sites and Monuments Record of Warwickshire County Council, comprised a partial archaeological survey of, and historical research into, the Grange Mills at Bidford-on-Avon. An historic estate, Bidford Grange is being transformed into a major tourist, business and leisure facility. The need for the survey arose over concern that proposals for the restoration of a pair of watermills on the estate might, if effected, obliterate vital archaeological information represented by, and contained within, their remains. The investigation was divided into two stages: documentary research and archaeological surveying. In order to produce an overall plan of the Bidford Grange Mills site a plane table survey was undertaken; this was supplemented by a measured elevation of the most striking upright feature on the site, the wheel pit of the former paper mill.
