Abstract:		 An excavation was carried out in advance of residential development, at a site where an early iron age pit containing a small amount of ironworking slag had been revealed during an earlier evaluation. In a nearby area to the south-east, evidence of Middle Bronze Age activity, an early iron age dispersed settlement and a medieval field system had been recorded. During the excavation, no archaeological features or deposits were observed. [AIP]
