Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of foundations for a church hall. The church had a medieval or earlier foundation, and was incorporated within a manorial holding until the late 18th century. Part of the demolished manor had been excavated on an adjacent site. During the watching brief, a brick wall dating from c. 1550 was revealed and flint waste flakes were recovered. [AIP] |
