Abstract: |
The stratigraphic sequence identified during the course of the evaluation indicated that in-situ Roman deposits survived at a depth of 0.85 metres below the modern ground surface. Deposits (008) and (007) were consistent with late Roman demolition debris previously identified throughout the town, and were broadly dated to the fourth century AD.[Au(abr)] |
