Abstract: |
An excavation was carried out at a development site which lay within the area of early medieval Lundenwic. Previous buildings at the site had heavily truncated the horizontal stratigraphy, but some cut features were revealed during the excavation. These included a probable early medieval cess pit, containing animal bone, daub and Roman building material, and a possible rubbish pit or quarry. Post-medieval floor surfaces and associated cess pits and wells were also found. [AIP] |
