Abstract: |
Trial excavations were undertaken ahead of the construction of a lift motor house pit, part of a programme of refurbishment works undertaken in the public hall on the first floor of the Old Market Hall. Features relating to a 17th century cobbled surface were revealed as well as a small quantity of salt-glazed pottery. Nothing relating to earlier periods was recovered. [AIP] |
