Abstract: |
Three trial pits, 1m by 1m, were excavated and six auger cores were taken as part of an archaeological evaluuation in advance of the proposed development of 290 dwellings across the site. This concentrated upon the Whitnash medieval mill pool and demonstrated that a proposed stormwater storage pond associated with a new housing development was unlikely to damage sensitive archaeological deposits associated with the mill or its pool.
