Abstract: |
Monitoring of the service trenches and associated ground reduction in parts of the site revealed evidence of periods of alluvial flooding overlying a Romano-British occupation horizon. Artefacts recovered throughout the duration of the programme of work included Romano-British pottery, animal bone and 2 fragments or Romano-British box-flue tile. Pottery dating from the later 14th to the 16th century was also recovered. [Au(abr)] |
