Abstract: |
The assessment area included 41 archaeological sites and 4 listed buildings. Most notable was a scheduled Roman villa complex partially excavated in 1989. The majority of sites located were \ncropmarks some of which were dated on morphological grounds to the Iron Age or Romano-British period. The only upstanding monuments surviving in the development area was a Bronze Age barrow, and possible medieval house platforms. |
