Abstract: |
A desk-top assessment of a site which overlay parts of two successive Roman fora was undertaken. Previous excavations at the site had recorded substantial remains of early Roman structures and a metalled surface which pre-dated the first forum. Parts of a medieval churchyard and church foundations were also recorded. The church had been demolished in 1878. It was stated in the report that the need for trial works had already been identified by the developer; suggestions for such works were made.[AIP] |
