Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluatio was undertaken as part of an application for planning consent for the construction of a house on the site. Eight trenches were excavated, with a total combined length of 130 metres. Archaeological features were encountered in three trenches in the form of a pit and ditches of probable medieval date, and the terminal of a ditch of Roman date which lay in close proximity to the current churchyard to the northeast of the site.
