Abstract: |
An archaeological assessment of the proposed development site found good potential for the recovery of archaeological remains. It may contain important features, deposits or artefacts which date from the prehistoric and Roman periods. Some Anglo-Saxon remains could be present as well as traces of the medieval field patterns and/or farming methods and buildings associated with the early Joyce family holding and the development of the Marsh street settlement, with their associated ancient lanes. This reports also contain a detailed study of the geological and topographical development of the area. [AIP] |
