Abstract: |
On the basis of previous investigations, it was anticipated that colluvial deposits would be encountered over a considerable area of the site. However, the majority of the site (particually the western area) appeared to have been truncated to the level of the natural gravels. There was no evidence of any occupation or settlement on the site, however, all the located features probably related to several phases of agricultural activity. Pottery evidence dated these features to the 13th-14th century.[Au(abr)] |
