Abstract: |
The absence of any archaeological features across the area investigated suggested that the proposed development lay within a relatively sterile archaeological environment. The shallow topsoil contained a sparse assemblage of post-medieval domestic china and pottery. These sherds had most likely been incorporated into the soil via manuring or ploughing activities, rather than indicating occupation on the site or in the close vicinity. [Au(abr)] |
