Abstract: |
Archaeological features were revealed in the less disturbed north-eastern corner of the site, and included two possible medieval burials. The latter were not examined further at this stage. Further excavation revealed significant disturbance by modern building activity associated wit hteh snooker hall. Archaeological features were identified including the possible graves, but on full excavation these were found to contain articulated animal remains. Both features yielded post-medieval brick and ceramics, mixed with residual medieval pottery sherds. [Au(abr)] |
