Abstract: |
A geophysical survey was carried out at Whitley Lodge. The majority of anomalies which have been mapped were a result of modern interventions on the site. This was particularly true near to the driveway into the lodge, around the lodge and close to the attached factory unit. A few pit type anomalies were identified within the high magnetic background, which resulted from modern interventions thought to be the result of garden features, although origins of greater antiquity could not be ruled out.
