Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken during soil stripping and the excavation of cable trenches. Previous remains recorded in the area included early prehistoric flints, Roman features, early medieval pottery, medieval ridge and furrow and a moated manor. During the watching brief, a cooking pit and a rubbish pit containing late bronze age pottery were revealed. Iron age pottery, struck flints and a loom weight were also found. [AIP] |
