Abstract: |
Salvage recording was undertaken on a site which lay within an area of archaeological potential between the core of the medieval town and the old Totnes bridge. Archaeological remains were revealed, including medieval and post-medieval drains and finds. The state of preservation was relatively poor, however valuable evidence was gained and the exercise demonstrated the value of small-scale recording and observation exercises within the smaller historic towns of Devon.
