Abstract: |
Ten boreholes were drilled and recorded within the building. In places the deepest boreholes may have been located within archaeological cut features similar to those encountered during the evaluation and excavation trenching. The natural had been sealed by a thick homogenous deposit, interpreted as a horticultural or agricultural soil. These deposits appear to have formed from the medieval period through to the 19th century and were directly overlain by recent construction and demolition deposits. [Au(abr)] |
