Abstract: |
The second stage of an evaluation at the site revealed further evidence of a large Roman foundation below the modern ground level. The south face of the foundation was uncovered in one of the trenches. This foundation was part of the remains of a large Roman monumental arch leading into the precinct of the Temple of Claudius.
