Abstract: |
The gradiometer survey had met with little success due to the large amounts of metallic material and services present within or surrounding the survey area. Despite this, three linear anomalies had been identified towards the south of the survey area that may have represented cut features of archaeological origin. The detailed GPR identified a number of anomalies that have been of archaeological origin, although large area anomalies were likely to have been caused by modern disturbances and landscaping. The presence of modern activity had made it difficult to identify any possible previous structures. Any shallow archaeological features were likely to have been removed or damaged by modern activity.
