Abstract:
A watching brief was carried out at a site which lay within the precincts of a 14th century monastery, in the vicinity of a plague cemetery used in 1348. A number of late medieval quarry pits and a possible post hole were revealed. Deposits containing animal bone, tile, mortar and pottery dating from the 16th century were recorded. [AIP]
