Abstract: |
The assessment and visual inspection of the site along the planned route of new pipelines identified a number of archaeological features that may have been affected by the route. Four Class A sites were identified including a Roman road and an undated field system. Two medieval crosses, Scheduled Ancient Mouments of national importance were also located in the vicinity of the pipeline. Numerous Class B1 sites were identified close to the proposd route, including ditches and hedgebanks, however the majority of these features could be dealt with as part of a watching brief.[Au(abr)] |
