Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken during ground disturbance caused by the erection of a building on the Iron Age hillfort at Marton cum Grafton, a Scheduled Ancient monument. The building was to be located adjacent to a water tower, and it seemed likely from the observations that the ground in this area was largely made up ground, formed to create a level platform for the water tower. The subsoil appeared to have been disturbed in recent times. [Au(abr)] |
