Abstract: |
An archaeological desk-based assessment was undertaken prior to the proposed redevelopment of the site. There were no known archaeological remains within the site that could be considered a major constraint to development. However, the potential existed for archaeological remains within the site either as single finds or as areas of possible watercourse exploitation. A total of 37 archaeological sites and find-spots had been identified within a 2km study area around the site. Dates of the find-spots ranged from the Palaeolithic through to post-medieval and included some of the 20th century. A total of six Grade II Listed Buildings had also been identified within the study area. [Au(abr)] |
